House, Teeth, Cats, etc etc

Yipppeeee! We are in our house, and it is so good to be here. There is still a lot of unpacking and organizing to do, but we are making progress. Neighbors have come by to introduce themselves and check us out, and everyone has been really nice. We walked down to the local beach today and just can't wait to take Charlotte swimming there. It is quiet and peaceful at night, and if that wasn't enough, the whole neighborhood smells like lilacs, seriously, it does.

Funny story though, we finished the closing at a McDonalds - sipping coffee shakes and signing mortgage papers. The closing was to take place at the Registry of Deeds at 2pm Friday, but our bank apparantly is SLOW and didn't get everything to their closing attorney until 3:3opm and by the time he got to the Registry of Deeds, they were closing. So we went down the street to Micky D's.

AND, yesterday Charlotte's first tooth broke through - it is her bottom front left tooth. And the bottom front right is just below the surface ready to pop through, too. Crazy. We had no idea she was that ready to cut a tooth - her gums weren't swollen or red, she wasn't fussy lately or anything.

Izzy and Bean are back with us. Izzy was not fazed at all by the move and the new house; she sniffed around and is already right at home. Bean, on the other hand, spent 36 hours hiding in the basement and only decided to make an appearance about an hour ago. She is still pretty skittish but getting better - basically following Matt around.

So there is the long update. I will post pics of the house and Charlotte's 5 month pics with Sammy tomorrow. Maybe I can get a pic of the teeth? We'll see.
