Week in Portland, Part I

Ok, we have lots and lots of pictures to share from our Portland, OR trip, so I've broken it into three posts. This first post is all about our day trip to the coast. We had all expected wind and rain and dressed in lots of warm layers, but we had a beautiful sunny day and the layers were quickly shed by some of the smaller members of our group.

Charlotte pulling up her pants and testing out the water:
Pretty soon the two littles had their pants off altogether and were trying to wade after the birds:
The second beach we stopped at, and Mabel riding snug and happy on Daddy's back:
Charlotte with her Uncle Matt and cousin Layne:
The beach was a dream come true for two little rock-throwers.
Time to strip down and get wet:
Grandma helping Mabel do some exploring:
Ahhh, the water might get you!
I love this - Mabel in a warm coat and two crazy kids in their underpants.
They had so much fun playing together on the beach!
And Mabel ended up getting pretty darn dirty, too; not to mention all the sand she put in her mouth.
So that was Monday, keep reading for the rest of the week....
