October??? No, it's Snow-tober!

Yes, I know it is now November, but the last week of October sure threw us for a loop! Last Friday, we woke up to a dusting of snow. Charlotte immediately wanted to go play in it, despite having to go out in rain boots and wearing wool socks over her hands. We took a trip to Target that afternoon to get her some boots, gloves, and hat.

She picked out this hat (the pink sequins made it the obvious choice!):


And thank goodness we got her all outfitted for winter, because Sunday morning we woke up to this mess:
We lost very few branches compared to most yards. Whole trees had cracked down the middle due to the weight of the snow and falling branches brought down power lines all over town.
Our power was out from Saturday night around 11pm until Monday afternoon around 1pm. And we were actually really lucky considering parts of town are still waiting to get power back today almost a week after the storm.
