A couple of you have queried about the driving over here...

I think we are getting used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Although we both have a tendency to walk to the passenger side of the car if we're driving and then realize, oh, the steering wheel is on the other side, duh. There really are not many stoplights - intersections have roundabouts, which are definately interesting. This is what we have gathered - the car on the inside lane actually has the right-of-way and can do pretty much whatever it wants. Only get in the outside lane if you're making an immediate left or, if you're going straight, make sure no car is coming on the inside lane as they may decide to go straight out of the roundabout and run right into you. Does that make any sense?

The biggest adjustment is getting a feel for the width of the car. You know how you can just get in your car and know its size and where to drive in your lane so you don't sideswipe anyone?Well, you have to learn that all over again here. And sitting in the passenger side is an experience, as it always seems like you're going to sideswipe or be sideswiped. Most people have small cars and everyone zips around pretty fast, and anything other than a major road is very narrow and windy with little in the way of a shoulder.

Staying on the left side of the road hasn't been a problem. I think we have both only found ourselves driving on the right side in parking lots, where there aren't really cars coming at you to remind you where you're supposed to be.
